After returning Yellowstone in a massive franchise for Paramount, Taylor Sheridan is back with a new TV series that brings another Hollywood legend to the small screen: Sylvester Stallone. Trading the mountains of Montana for the plains of Oklahoma, King Tulsa features Stallone as a displaced mob boss who reluctantly finds himself banished to a place that looks nothing like the streets of New York.
As he sets out to find out why he’s really been kicked out, the new teaser shows Stallone’s character having free reign to do as he pleases in Oklahoma City. With nothing else to do, he quickly sets to work to set up his criminal enterprise. If he’s going to get stuck in this city, he might as well rule it.
Tulsa King also stars Andrea Savage (I’m sorry), Martin Starr (Silicon Valley), Max Casella (Tender grass), Domenick Lombardozzi (Irishman), Vincent Piazza (Boardwalk Empire), Jay Will (Ms. wonderful. Maisel), AC Peterson (Superman and Lois), and Garrett Hedlund (United States vs. Billie Holiday).
Here’s the official synopsis:
TULSA KING follows New York mob capo Dwight “The General” Manfredi (Sylvester Stallone) shortly after he is released from prison after 25 years and is unceremoniously exiled by his boss to open a store in Tulsa, Okla. Realizing that his mob family may not have his best interests in mind, Dwight slowly builds a “crew” from an unlikely cast of characters to help him create a new criminal empire in a country that it could be another planet.
King Tulsa premieres November 13 on Paramount+.
